Rob, you appear to have gone off on a tangent.

You're providing evidence for something that no one is disputing. Everyone agrees that flood myths are found within many cultures around the world, so i don't quite see why you're providing evidence for them.

Regardless of how big the Ark is, i have shown that using the available evidence, ie. measurem evaluate the evidence with your own mind as you keep telling everyone that is what you do!!
actually Noobster, i only provided it as a fabric in the tapestry, as yet no one had seemed to offer any attempts at doing so, this plus the geological evidence, plus the sudden mass extinctions, plus the palaeontological evidence of different species, is as you are a ware, simply different strands of fabric in the tapestry.

as for your assertions it is the folly of those who deny the divine, you have your figures, i have mine, ample room for those land based animals which god has chosen, and ample room for sustenance. there is no need to try to refute your assertions, its simply a difference of opinion, which you as a free thinking agent are entitled to espouse.

What would be the purpose of the flood account in the Bible if it was just a myth?

To which you replied;

To keep the power in the church, to fear an illusionary God, to f*** with our heads in general, to give up on science and send us back to the dark dark ages where the vampires that control our lives can continue on in their tyranny unabated. HHrrmph!

To which I said;

That's obtuse, and it is paranoid.

It serves no purpose to make people fear. It is what despots do. Not men of faith.

You've bought into to the real myth.

proper knob said this;

Follow our rules or you will go to hell. Is that not the message of Christianity?!

To which you replied;

To which I replied;

That's the myth I'm talking about.

Explain to me how you could fit all the required animals onto the Ark.

You are yet to do it.

i have explained it way at the start. you described it as tosh and went on to offer up your very own hyper concentrated tosh as recompense.

No you didn't. You cut and pasted a few paragraphs from a book that was written 50yrs ago. Which i then showed with some simple maths that the logic was flawed, and you still have yet to show me how my calculations are wrong.

You just keep repeating the mantra 'it's just wrong'.

Show me why it's wrong.

Why? Are you moderating the thread?

I'm simply replying to points made. It's not that complicated.

your simple maths are clearly inadequate, for they deny the divine element! what your evidence amounted to dear Noobster, was that a vessel the size of a football pitch, four stories high, with three decks, that took forty years to build, could not house eight elephants and enough food to feed them for some days, please!

Simple mathematics.

Consider the size of the Ark. It's been proven, years ago, that pairs of every kind of animal could easily fit into the Ark. Along with every kind of bug and micro organism know to man, and more besides.
