@rajk999 saidGod knew of our needs before the world began, and He acted for our sake.
Your church doctrine preaches that people need to KNOW about the death and resurrection of Christ in order to be saved and to get eternal life in the Kingdom of God. You will find that there is no such doctrine preached by Christ and that there are many who are considered righteous and their eternal life is assured who do not know of Christ. Rahab the harlot is one of them. ...[text shortened]... nitive disconnect issues.
So far just about all of your church doctrines are at odds with Christ.

How can you reasonably expect KJ to post on point when he so rarely understands the point? Stop being unreasonable.

@kellyjay saidIf you'd understood the point of my posts on the other thread, you'd know that the point wasn't that they were "not personal statements". Never said that they were "not personal statements". The point was that they are the truth. The truth about you.
This another of your not personal statements?
But you did not understand the point. That was the point here.
@thinkofone saidDefinitions change to suit you, nothing personal, when I say things about you its the truth about you.

17“Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But it is their way that is not just. 18 If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it. 19 And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so. 20 Yet you Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.”
Matthew 21
32“For John came to you in the way of righteousness and you did not believe him; but the tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; and you, seeing this, did not even feel remorse afterward so as to believe him.
Matthew 7
13“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14“For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
24“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25“And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27“The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

@kellyjay saidYou keep saying this in various threads as if the saying of it makes your opinions on scripture, the truth. It doesn’t, your opinions are just your opinions.

@kellyjay saidYou claim that the entirety of Revelation is literal. So when Revelation describes your version of Jesus as being in hell overseeing the eternal burning alive of groups of people...is the the “Way” the “Truth” or the “Life” being demonstrated?
Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life I believe that to be the truth.
In your “opinion”.

If it’s sonship’s claimed “perfect justice” of burning people alive for eternity then it’s bad.
My claim is that John saw the dead standing to be judged and that if anyone's name was not recorded in the book of life he was thrown into the lake of fire - the second death.
It is not living forever. It is called the second DEATH.
Incidently, I concede that Revelation 20:5a did say -
The rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were completed. .
So physically it is right to say they are alive physically to face judgment in this resurrection. But the onus is on YOU to show that the damned are said to have "everlasting life".
Separated from God forever, they are "the dead". And they are the separated dead in the lake of fire perishing, forever. You show us that "everlasting life" or "eternal life" is applied anywhere in the Bible for those whose names are not written in the book of life.
You show that the lost are ever said to have eternal life such that God is "burning people alive for eternity."
And a more just judgment is not possible. But God knows all the facts. And we do not.
In that age my mind, attitude, thought will all be conformed to the image of the Firstborn Son of God. If I do not think exactly as Christ on this today, I will in eternity.
He died for all and He will send some to the second death.
I expect to be conformed to see everything through His eyes one day.
If I do not completely see it through His divine eyes today, I will see them through His divine eyes in eternity.
"Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers." (Rom. 8:29)
