I expect, however, that you would object to Christians (real or so-called)—or anyone else, for that matter—publicly burning the Koran, or else you would not have much ground for criticism in ...[text shortened]... of doing that![/i] I am just using (perhaps unfairly) what you wrote to try and make the point…
I put the Koran or Qur'an or what ever it is that Islam uses to change the
word of God in the same league as "The Book of Mormon". They are
both false teachings possibly from the one that masquerades as an
angel of light.

If you really loved my Lord Jesus, you would not let that question keep you from voluntarily getting on your knees with a Christian brother to confess that Jesus is Lord. Love would constrain you.

Because you have no love for the Lord, you still skillfully hunt out excuses not to make the confession.

One reason why your heart may be cold towards the Lord Jesus is because you do know that forgiveness that He gives. I think you are still counting on your bible knowledge and your good door to door work to stand upon in the day of judgment.

He who is forgiven much also loves much. I think you would love the Lord Jesus and gladly confess Him as Lord even on your knees beside me, IF you knew the danger His forgiveness has rescued you from.

====================================
(Philippians 2:10-11) . . .so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of
those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

Indeed, when one actually looks at the details of the scripture it is evidently clear
that it is in the sense of acknowledging the position of the Christ as King of Gods
Kingdom, not literally bending down on ones knee as you have erroneously tried to assert.
==================================================

Will you or will you not go to your knees and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord ?

I would gladly do so. I have no need to search for a exegetical loophole to excuse myself from it.

==================================
What is more i think its simply an excuse on your part Jaywill in order to
avoid having to reason. I suspect that those persons who are confronted with your
request refrain, not only because its a little freaky, but that it could be construed as an act of interfaith, of which we will have nothing to do, perhaps this thought never crossed your mind.
=======================================

It is one of the ways I get right to the point of the whole Bible. My God is the MAN Jesus Christ.

And the New Testament has Jesus telling the disciples "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you shall be MY witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

"You shall be My [Jesus's] witnesses ..." (Acts 1:8 )

Jehovah's Witnesses are in rebellion, pure and simple.
You Jehovah's Witnesses are in revolt against the Gospel of God.

The ONE to whom every knee will bow and every tongue confess is Jehovah become a man:

ISAIAH 45:23,24 - "I have sworn by Myself; A word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness and will not return,
That every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall swear.
It shall be said of Me, Only in Jehovah is there righteousness and strength.
To Him shall [men] come, and all those who are burning in anger against Him shall be ashamed."

There is nothing wrong with my reasoning. This Jehovah God is Jesus. And I bear witness to the incarnation of God in the man Jesus. I am His witness.

I love much because I know I have been forgiven so much. And I know WHO it is who died bloodied upon that cross on my behalf. I know He took away my sins.

You are still hoping to stand before God on your own merit. And you refuse to be the witness of Jesus as Acts 1:8 has Him command.

There is still time for you to repent and be saved.

As you have stated Jaywill, i am not your brother. I am merely commenting upon the
scripture and its misapplication by you, if you would kindly address those
insurmountable obstacles to your assertion, you may do better. You will of course find
them in the verse that you quoted.

You could not be more right.

Without God's mercy and the Holy Spirit there is very little hope.

Could we have believed without His mercy ?
We have to pray for them. They have heard it all alredy.

Robbie,

You can believe that I was not saying that you are a Christian brother. You need not worry about me implying that one who denies that Jesus is God come in the flesh is my brother in Christ.

I was merely saying that if you were a Christian disciple you would have no problem to humbly confess on your knees that Jesus was Lord.

word, if they are of a mind, we study the Bible with them, if not, we just go and try
to find someone who is interested in the Bible. It matters not whether they are
atheist, Satanist, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, if they are interested in the Bible, we
shall spend our ...[text shortened]... ctical value
and many have overcome all sorts of problems, from prostitution to alcohol abuse.
Then why did you say this:

"I suspect that those persons who are confronted with your request refrain, not only because its a little freaky, but that it could be construed as an act of interfaith, of which we will have nothing to do, perhaps this thought never crossed your mind."

Why will you have NOTHING to do with an act of interfaith?

Don't want to put all that work in only to see them go to another denomination?

Is your real problem with jaywill's post that doing so could be construed as agreeing in the Trinity of God? Then why don't those persons refusing tell him why they refuse? It's better than appearing snobbish. Or are JWs taught not to lead off with the fact that they think a Triune God is ridiculous?

Still, I see you put emphasis on "teaching them about [the Bible]". The last time JWs knocked on my door, they were pretty gung-ho about telling me why my KJV was in error. This does not speak well about your "teaching", when your emphasis is clearly on JW beliefs only.

And do NOT preach to me about the importance (overcoming problems such as prostitution or alcohol abuse) of bringing someone to Christ, especially if you have such an abhorrence of any "acts of interfaith".

Don ...[text shortened]... ne to Christ, especially if you have such an abhorrence of any "acts of interfaith".[/b]
can you name one instance in the entire Bible where the Hebrews or the Christians
engaged in an act of interfaith, i can.

(Numbers 25:1-9) . . .Now Israel was dwelling in Shi**im. Then the people started to
have immoral relations with the daughters of Moab. And the women came calling
the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people began to eat and to bow
down to their gods. So Israel attached itself to the Baal of Peor; and the anger of
Jehovah began to blaze against Israel. Hence Jehovah said to Moses: “Take all the
head ones of the people and expose them to Jehovah toward the sun, that the
burning anger of Jehovah may turn back from Israel.” Then Moses said to the
judges of Israel: “Each one of you kill his men who have an attachment with the
Baal of Peor.” But, look! a man of the sons of Israel came, and he was bringing
near to his brothers a Midianite woman before Moses’ eyes and before the eyes of
all the assembly of the sons of Israel, while they were weeping at the entrance of
the tent of meeting. When Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest
caught sight of it, he at once got up from the midst of the assembly and took a
lance in his hand. Then he went after the man of Israel into the vaulted tent and
pierced both of them through, the man of Israel and the woman through her genital
parts. At that the scourge was halted from upon the sons of Israel. And those who
died from the scourge amounted to twenty-four thousand.
